Are you a strategic software procurement professional with proven experience operating in global or multi-national stakeholder environments?

This is a rare opportunity to take ownership of a global software category within one of the world's most respected technology and professional services organisations. The role sits at the heart of a highly sophisticated, matrixed procurement function and carries genuine influence across enterprise-wide technology and transformation initiatives.

You will lead strategic sourcing activity across critical software categories, partnering closely with C‑suite and senior global stakeholders to shape commercial strategy, manage complex vendor relationships, and deliver measurable value at scale.

The Role:

As Global Software Procurement Lead Buyer, you will be responsible for end‑to‑end strategic procurement across a diverse and business‑critical software portfolio, operating in a truly global context.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Leading global, strategic sourcing initiatives across enterprise software categories.
  • Developing and executing global software category strategies, aligned with digital transformation, operational resilience, and financial performance.
  • Owning complex, high‑value negotiations with major global software vendors and emerging technology providers, including licensing models, renewals, and enterprise agreements.
  • Acting as a trusted commercial partner to senior leadership and executive stakeholders, influencing decisions and balancing risk, cost, and innovation.
  • Managing strategic supplier relationships at a global level, driving performance, governance, compliance, and continuous improvement.
  • Contributing to the ongoing evolution of the organisation's global software procurement and governance model.
What We're Looking For:

This role requires depth, not breadth. Candidates without software procurement experience in international or global environments are unlikely to be suitable.

You will bring:
  • Demonstrable experience leading global or multi-national software procurement initiatives, including strategic sourcing and negotiations.
  • A proven track record of operating in complex, multinational or consulting-led organisations (technology, professional services, banking, insurance, or global integrators translate well).
  • The credibility and commercial maturity to engage confidently with C‑suite and senior executive stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of software procurement commercial models, licensing structures, contractual risk, and vendor management.
  • Excellent analytical and negotiation capability, with a strategic rather than transactional mindset.
  • Fluent, professional‑level English, used daily in stakeholder-facing environments.
