Job summary

Corning Incorporated is seeking a SCADA Solutions Engineer to design and deploy manufacturing data solutions across global operations. You will connect equipment with MES, data historians, and enterprise platforms, collaborating with controls, IT, and engineering teams to deliver scalable interfaces and reliable data access.

The role requires 1–3 years of SCADA development experience, knowledge of Ignition or GE iFix, and proficiency in English and Polish.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of SCADA platforms such as Ignition, GE iFix, or similar systems.
• Experience with controls and PLCs.
• Experience with at least one scripting or programming language such as Python, Java, SQL, or similar technologies.
• Experience integrating manufacturing equipment with SCADA, MES, historians, databases, or other manufacturing information systems.
• Familiarity with OPC UA, Modbus, Ethernet/IP, MQTT, and similar protocols.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Strong documentation and technical writing skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to create and communicate process and data-flow diagrams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or equivalent.
• Ideal candidate will possess 1-3 years of SCADA development experience.
• Able to travel globally (United States, Mexico, and China at a minimum).
• Proficiency in English and Polish (written and verbal).

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, document, and support SCADA solutions for automated and manual manufacturing processes.
• Integrate manufacturing equipment with MES, data historians, databases, and enterprise data platforms.
• Partner with controls engineers, process engineers, manufacturing teams, IT teams, and equipment vendors to define and implement system interfaces.
• Support new equipment deployment projects from design through production startup.
• Gather manufacturing requirements and translate them into scalable system solutions.
• Improve system reliability, cybersecurity, and manufacturing data availability.
• Execute project assignments independently while collaborating within global engineering teams.
