Job summary

Ramboll is seeking an experienced Overhead Line Designer to join our Power Systems Department in advancing overhead line design for major European infrastructure projects. You will drive service development, work with diverse clients, and contribute to sustainable energy initiatives.

You will handle engineering calculations, design documentation, and coordination across disciplines, while supporting building/design permit processes and client consultations.

Qualifications

• PhD or MSc in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Expert knowledge on Overhead Lines.
• Experience with PLS-CADD and QGIS.
• Strong stakeholder management and networking skills.
• Ability to take responsibility for project scope with clients.
• Desire to contribute to the green energy transition.

Responsibilities

• Prepare engineering specifications and technical documentation for Overhead Lines up to 420 kV.
• Calculate sag & tension, loads, earthing, lightning protection, etc.
• Prepare Bills of Materials and Bills of Quantities.
• Develop Building Design and Detailed Design incl. Building Permit.
• Lead multidisciplinary cooperation and coordination.
• Lead technical reviews and agreements with clients and suppliers.
• Provide consulting services and advice to clients.
