Job summary

Sii Poland is seeking a Field Inspection Engineer (NDT) to join projects in the port and container terminal sector. The role combines field inspections, NDT activities, and on-site technical support for maintenance on heavy port equipment such as STS, RTG, RMG and MHC cranes, with about 80% international travel.

Based in Poland, you will inspect steel structures and welds, interpret drawings, report non-conformities, and contribute to crane condition monitoring programs at international

Qualifications

• Technical education in mechanical, structural, or hydraulic engineering.
• Valid NDT certification (ISO 9712, AWS or equivalent).
• At least 5 years of industrial experience in fabrication, welding, or maintenance.
• Experience with heavy port equipment is a plus.
• Able to read and interpret technical drawings and specs.
• Good command of English; Polish fluent.
• Willing to travel internationally (~80%).
• Work at height with no medical contraindications.

Responsibilities

• Perform NDT inspections on port equipment and welds.
• Verify fabrication and installation against specs.
• Identify non-conformities and prepare punch lists and reports.
• Support maintenance with on-site assessments.
• Interpret drawings and engineering documents.
• Participate in crane condition monitoring at international sites.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
