Job summary

OANDA Global Corporation seeks a senior engineering leader to shape our technology strategy and drive a global department of around 80 engineers across multiple product areas.

You will own end-to-end engineering performance, set standards, and partner with product, risk, legal, and compliance to ensure regulatory alignment while delivering reliable, scalable software in a hybrid Krakow/Warsaw setup.

Travel to collaborate with teams in person is expected as part of the role.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering experience.
• 5+ years leading other managers.
• Proven track record building high-performing engineering teams.
• Experience with regulated financial services.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end performance of the software engineering function.
• Define and communicate engineering strategy aligned to product direction.
• Uphold engineering standards across architecture and testing.
• Drive AI-first product development lifecycle end-to-end.
• Manage budget, vendors, and total cost of ownership.
• Partner with Risk, Legal, and Compliance.
• Represent engineering to regulators and governance committees.
