Job summary

Arrow Electronics is seeking a motivated General Ledger Intern to support Spain and Portugal activities from Gdańsk. You will engage in daily accounting, month-end closings, reconciliations, intercompany activities, inventory checks, and statutory reporting across borders.

Hybrid work enables 2 days in the office weekly. The role offers hands-on experience in ERP (Business Central), finance processes, and collaboration with senior professionals in a dynamic multinational environment.

Qualifications

• Interest in developing a career in Accounting, Finance, or General Ledger processes.
• Availability to work approximately 30-40 hours per week.
• Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
• Fluency in Spanish or Portuguese would be a very strong advantage.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Eagerness to learn and develop within an international finance environment.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Support the General Ledger team with daily accounting and administrative activities for Spain and Portugal.
• Assist with month-end closing activities, including preparation of reports and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Prepare and maintain general ledger account reconciliations.
• Support intercompany accounting processes and reconciliations.
• Assist with inventory reconciliations and other account reconciliation activities.
• Support accounting operations in the ERP system (Business Central).
• Assist Accounting Managers and Finance professionals with day-to-day activities.
• Prepare, complete, submitting, and monitoring various statutory reports and surveys required by public authorities in Spain and Portugal.
• Support tax-related activities, including preparation and filing of tax returns.
• Researching and analyzing financial data to support business and operational decision-making.
• Ensuring compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and internal controls.
• Participating in ad hoc projects and process improvement initiatives within the Finance team.
