Job Description

The Role:
We are looking for an experienced and highly hands-on Global Finance Manager to take ownership of the
day-to-day Finance operation across People Can Fly.
This is a senior Finance role, but it is not a traditional CFO or strategy-led Finance Director position. We
operate with a lean structure and a highly involved CEO, and we need someone who enjoys being close to
the numbers, personally solving problems and getting things done.
Working directly with the CEO, you will ensure that our financial information, reporting, forecasting, controls
and processes are accurate, timely and useful. You will take ownership of Finance activities that currently
require significant senior leadership involvement, bringing structure, reliability and stronger operational
discipline.
You will lead and support the Finance team, but you should be equally comfortable opening a spreadsheet,
investigating a variance, reviewing a forecast, working through a reconciliation or fixing a broken process
yourself.
As you develop a strong understanding of PCF and our projects, your insight will naturally contribute to
wider business decisions. The immediate priority, however, is operational Finance excellence and
execution.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Own the day-to-day operation of Finance across PCF's international business.
  • Personally prepare, review and challenge management reporting, forecasts, budgets and financial analysis.
  • Ensure senior leadership has clear, accurate and timely financial information to support decision-
  • making.
  • Work closely with the CEO on financial priorities, questions and analysis, responding quickly and
  • confidently when deeper detail is required.
  • Maintain strong visibility of cash flow, liquidity, working capital and financial commitments.
  • Own and continuously improve budgeting and forecasting processes across the business.
  • Track actual performance against budgets and forecasts, investigate variances and clearly explain the underlying drivers.
  • Maintain strong oversight of project financial performance, including costs, profitability, utilisation and financial risks.
  • Work closely with project and operational teams to understand financial performance and identify
  • issues early.
  • Support monthly and annual close activities and ensure accurate, timely financial reporting.
  • Coordinate accounting, audit, tax and statutory reporting requirements across relevant entities and jurisdictions.
  • Maintain appropriate financial controls while ensuring processes remain practical and proportionate to the business.
  • Work closely with Payroll, People, Legal and other teams on financial and operational matters.
  • Identify inefficient or manual Finance processes and personally drive improvements.
  • Make practical use of technology, automation and AI to improve reporting, analysis, controls and Finance workflows.
  • Improve the quality and accessibility of financial data and reduce unnecessary manual work.
  • Support the development of Finance systems, tools and reporting, favouring practical solutions that fit the business.
  • Lead, support and develop a small Finance team while remaining actively involved in their work.
  • Step directly into operational Finance tasks when workload, deadlines or business priorities require it.
  • Take ownership of problems through to resolution rather than simply identifying or escalating them.
  • Support wider business initiatives where strong financial analysis or operational Finance input is
  • required.
Qualifications
  • Significant experience across Finance, FP&A, controlling or financial management.
  • Strong practical knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, cash flow and financial
  • analysis.
  • Experience working across multiple entities, countries or international operations.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial controls and statutory requirements.
  • Experience working closely with senior business leaders and translating financial information into clear, useful insights.
  • Comfort personally producing financial analysis and working directly with financial data rather than relying solely on a team.
  • Strong Excel and financial modelling capability.
  • Experience improving Finance systems, reporting or processes.
  • A curious and practical approach to automation, AI and new technology.
  • Comfort working in an environment where priorities can change quickly and decisions sometimes need to be made without perfect information.
  • Ability to challenge constructively, explain reasoning clearly and then support the agreed direction.
  • Low ego and comfort working outside strict role boundaries when the business needs it.
  • Fluent Polish and strong professional English.
  • Experience within gaming, technology, project-based businesses or another fast-moving international environment would be advantageous.
Additional Information
  • Private medical healthcare including dental treatment for PCF members and their families (Signal Iduna).
  • MultiSport card for you and your family members or friends.
  • Free library with a wide range of games and books you have unlimited access to.
  • In-company Polish and English language classes.
  • Fresh fruit, snacks, and beverages for everyone in the office.
  • Flexible working hours.
  • Free virtual health and mental wellbeing sessions are included in the plan for members and their dependents.
  • Personal development opportunities and ability to work in a global environment.
  • Work in a creative team with people full of passion for what they do.

We are committed to an inclusive and diverse work culture. PCF is an equal opportunity employer. We do not discriminate based on race, color, ethnicity, ancestry, national origin, religion, sex, gender, gender identity, gender expression, sexual orientation, age, disability, genetic information, marital status or any legally protected status.
