Job summary

Takeda Global Finance Center of Excellence (CoE) is expanding a centralized Controllership capability to deliver standardized controls across markets. As Associate Director, Central Controllership, you will lead day-to-day delivery and the ongoing development of this centralized function, ensuring the continued expansion of the internal control and SOX framework.

You will build a professional controllership team, influence standards across markets and coordinate close governance, KPI reporting

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, CPA, Certified Auditor or equivalent.
• At least 10 years of accounting, finance and/or internal-controls experience in a multinational organization.
• Deep understanding of internal controls and SOX compliance, with experience shaping methodology and assurance approaches.
• Strong IFRS expertise and experience implementing financial policies or control frameworks across entities.
• Proven people-management experience in professional finance or internal-control teams.
• Experience in global/matrix environments across cultures.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder influencing skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Experience in shared services or a Global Capability Center.

Responsibilities

• Lead a high-performing centralized Controllership team.
• Standardize and assure controllership across markets with strong stakeholder relationships.
• Mentor and develop a professional finance team.
• Collaborate with Global Finance CoE, local operating companies and audit partners.
• Drive control monitoring, SOX compliance and closure governance.
• Oversee balance sheet reconciliation oversight and KPI reporting.
• Coordinate month-end close calendars and quality reviews.
• Develop and deploy policies, SOPs and playbooks.
