Do you have experience as an accountant for companies operating in multiple European countries? Do you have experience in Polish legislation and accounting principles? Are you fluent in English? Would you like to join a large, international European business group?

As a recruitment consultancy, we are looking for a GL Accountant on behalf of our client to join their offices in Gdansk or Szczecin, responsible for managing the accounting activities of the group in Poland.

Tasks
  • Responsible for the maintenance of the books of accounts of the Company.
  • Ensures the timely and accurate submission on accounting system of all costs & revenues.
  • Reviews VISA and cash advance liquidations and manager’s reimbursement of business expenses.
  • Checks and ensures that cash advances, liquidation and reimbursements are in accordance with company policies and procedures and that they are approved in accordance with the Company’s existing approval authorities.
  • Prepare bank payments and ensure all invoices were approved in line with group policy
  • Prepares monthly bank reconciliation. Monthly Petty cash report.
  • Monitors accounts receivable (together with a credit controller) and accounts payable and ensure timely receipt and payment.
  • Communication with tax advisory, banks. Tax authorities.
  • Intercompany reconciliation
  • Performs other tasks as may be required by his superior and Management
Qualifications
  • Graduated on ADE (Business Management), Economics (accountant profile)
  • At least 2 years’ experience as accountant
  • Knowledge of payroll management will be a plus.
  • Excel & Navision
  • English (written) and good command spoken.
  • German would be advantage
