Job summary

Infosys Limited is seeking a Generator Accessories Engineer to support New Power Generation Units and Power Services Plant Engineering with preparation of technical documentation for Generator Accessories in Steam Power Plant projects.

The role involves sizing systems, creating drawings, coordinating with suppliers, and interface with I&C, Piping and Civil teams, plus remote site support during erection and commissioning. Occasional travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Min. 2 years in power/energy/industrial applications.
• Good knowledge of AutoCAD and Siemens NX.
• Experience with engineering documentation and project coordination.

Responsibilities

• Create general arrangement drawings, P&IDs and related docs.

Job description

Generator Accessories Engineer

Contract: only contract of employment

Salaries: base+ financial bonus

Please note: for this role we can not consider candidates who require company support to legally live and work in Poland

This role is to support New Power Generation Units and Power Services Plant Engineering with preparation of technical documentation dedicated to Generator Accessories for Steam Power Plant projects such as Conversion, Modification & Upgrades of Steam Power Plants, covering OTR (project execution) and ITO support (offering). Assistance to Lead Engineer in project execution throughout all project phases, ensure on-time delivery and good quality of provided documents. Close cooperation with other internal and external engineering teams in this field.

Primary Tasks

• Sizing of Generator Accessory Systems and System Components by using dedicated tools.


• Preparation of basic and detailed documentation of the System.


• Creation of general arrangement drawings, P&ID’s, and associated documents.


• Contact with suppliers and manufacturers of equipment to select, verify, and document their products, that are most fitted to the project needs.


• Dealing with interface documentation to other disciplines such as I&C, Piping and Arrangement, Civil Engineering.


• Responding to Engineering Requests from various projects.


• Clarification of open items/deviations with the PEM, Project Engineering Team, and Customer.


• Remote site support and technical assistance during erection and commissioning.


• Active participation in the design reviews and project technical meetings and conscientious execution of defined actions and tasks.


• Effective, close cooperation with project Lead Engineer and other team members.

Additional Tasks

• Being team member in standard and complex projects, taking over ownership for specific work tasks and complete system - being responsible for scope, schedule, and budget.


• Can prioritize, plan, and execute tasks for assigned specific work tasks and complete systems, even when executing multiple projects in parallel.


• Able to work out operation concepts for entire system and to collaborate with other Engineering Teams / Project Members, to provide on time delivery of tasks.


• Willing to travel (occasionally).

Tool Knowledge

• Good experience in using AutoCAD and MS Office software.


• Siemens NX (will be an advantage).


• General knowledge of Power Plant processes & systems.


• General knowledge in physics, fluid mechanics and industrial mechanical equipment, especially in power generation industry.


• ATEX Standards knowledge (will be an advantage).

• Ability to cooperate effectively within global engineering/project execution organization and external partners.


• Effectiveness in managing multiple tasks under tight deadlines.

Professional Experience

• Min. 2 years at in the power / energy / industrial application business.


• Site commissioning experience (will be an advantage).
