Job summary

EPAM Systems is seeking a Business Analytics Consultant with a strong foundation in Generative AI to transform upstream Oil & Gas processes. You will translate complex business requirements into AI-driven insights and collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and domain experts.

You will lead analytics initiatives, define KPIs, and ensure solutions are user-friendly, scalable, and aligned with strategic goals. Hybrid work in Poland with occasional travel abroad.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in business analytics or related field.
• 2+ years in Lead/Manager/Owner roles.
• 1+ year leading a team of 5+ employees.
• Participation in at least 2 full cycle projects or several projects across lifecycle.
• Experience in business analysis focused on process improvement and data-driven decision making.
• Proven experience with generative AI models in a business context.
• Strong understanding of the oil and gas industry, preferably upstream operations.
• Proficient in data analysis and visualization tools such as Python, SQL, Tableau, Power BI.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English (B2 or higher).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify AI opportunities for upstream processes.
• Analyze existing upstream processes to find pain points and inefficiencies.
• Develop and refine business use cases for generative AI aligned with strategic goals.
• Translate business requirements into specifications for AI model development and deployment.
• Define and track KPIs to measure AI impact on performance.
• Work with UI/UX designers to ensure user-friendly AI solutions.
• Stay updated on AI advancements and assess applicability in Oil & Gas.
