Job summary

KION Business Services Polska in Kraków is hiring a General Ledger Accountant to join our finance team. You will handle GL postings, month-end close, reconciliations, and reporting in SAP S/4HANA, while ensuring IFRS compliance and process improvements.

Fluent English and a degree in Finance or related field are required; strong analytical skills and attention to detail are essential to support global intralogistics operations.

Qualifications

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related discipline.
• Experience in accounting and financial processes.
• Knowledge of IFRS and accounting best practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Hands-on experience with SAP and advanced Excel functionalities.
• Fluent English communication skills (B2 or higher).
• Continuous improvement and growth mindset.

Responsibilities

• Performing General Ledger accounting activities and financial document processing.
• Ensuring accuracy and completeness of General Ledger postings, including accruals, provisions, and payroll entries.
• Conducting Balance Sheet reconciliations and account analysis.
• Supporting month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Preparing financial reports, KPIs, and management information.
• Executing internal controls and ensuring compliance with accounting policies.
• Collaborating with internal stakeholders across Record-to-Report and other finance functions.
• Investigating and resolving accounting queries and discrepancies.
• Driving continuous improvement initiatives and process optimization.
• Maintaining accounting procedures and process documentation.
• Working in SAP S/4HANA and other finance-related system.
