Job summary

Adtran Networks sp. z o.o. is hiring a General Accountant to support the Accounting department with day-to-day financial activities, month-end close, reporting, and analysis.

You will perform general accounting entries, prepare reconciliations, and ensure SOX controls. The role requires US GAAP knowledge, strong Excel skills, and the ability to collaborate across GL, intercompany, cash, inventory, and fixed assets in a hybrid Gdynia-based schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
• 2+ years accounting experience required.
• Experience in US GAAP and financial statement preparation preferred.
• Working knowledge of Sarbanes Oxley controls required.
• Advanced Excel skills are required.
• Strong communication and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Record general accounting entries, analysis, and reporting.
• Prepare reconciliations for balance sheet and income statement accounts.
• Perform SOX controls related to areas of responsibility.
• Support multiple accounting areas (GL, intercompany, cash, prepaids, inventory, fixed assets, accruals, etc.).
• Exhibit US GAAP technical knowledge in performing accounting duties and ability to assist in researching complex accounting arrangements.
• Map end-to-end accounting cycles.

General Accountant will be responsible for recording various financial transactions of the company while assisting in the day-to-day activities in the Accounting department such as financial analysis, month-end close, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform general accounting entries, analysis, and reporting.
• Prepare and maintain account reconciliations for various balance sheet and income statement accounts.
• Perform and review Sarbanes Oxley controls related to areas of responsibility.
• Flexible knowledge and willingness to support multiple Accounting areas (general ledger, intercompany, cash and banking, prepaids, inventory, fixed assets, accruals, etc.) with common business tasks.
• Exhibit US GAAP technical knowledge in performing accounting duties and ability to assist in researching complex accounting arrangements.
• Ability to understand and map end-to-end accounting cycles.
• Other projects and assignments may be assigned to accommodate the changing needs of the department and the Company.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required.
• 2+ years of Accounting experience required.
• Experience preparing financial statements in accordance with US GAAP and management analyses preferred.
• Working knowledge of Sarbanes Oxley controls required.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Advanced understanding of accounting processes and principles required.
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills required.
• High level of personal ownership and flexibility expected.
• Excellent communication skills in English (written and oral) required.
• Positive attitude and excellent team player who can meet deadlines.
• High speed internet and connectivity capabilities to facilitate a hybrid schedule.

Preferred Qualifications

• SAP experience is highly desired.
• IFRS knowledge.
