Adtran, Inc. is seeking a General Accountant to record financial transactions and support day-to-day accounting tasks in a hybrid role based in Gdynia, Poland. You will assist with financial analysis, month-end close, and reporting, leveraging US GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley controls.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s in Accounting with 2+ years of experience, strong English communication, and advanced Excel skills. SAP experience and IFRS knowledge are a plus.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required.
• 2+ years of Accounting experience required.
• Experience preparing financial statements in accordance with US GAAP and management analyses preferred.
• Working knowledge of Sarbanes Oxley controls required.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
• Excellent communication skills in English (written and oral) required.

Responsabilidades

• Perform general accounting entries, analysis, and reporting.

• Support multiple Accounting areas (GL, intercompany, cash, prepaids, inventory, fixed assets, accruals).
• Exhibit US GAAP knowledge in accounting duties and assist in researching complex arrangements.
• Understand and map end-to-end accounting cycles.
• Other projects and assignments may be assigned.

General Accountant will be responsible for recording various financial transactions of the company while assisting in the day-to-day activities in the Accounting department such as financial analysis, month-end close, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform general accounting entries, analysis, and reporting.
• Prepare and maintain account reconciliations for various balance sheet and income statement accounts.
• Perform and review Sarbanes Oxley controls related to areas of responsibility.
• Flexible knowledge and willingness to support multiple Accounting areas (general ledger, intercompany, cash and banking, prepaids, inventory, fixed assets, accruals, etc.) with common business tasks.
• Exhibit US GAAP technical knowledge in performing accounting duties and ability to assist in researching complex accounting arrangements.
• Ability to understand and map end-to-end accounting cycles.
• Other projects and assignments may be assigned to accommodate the changing needs of the department and the Company.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required.
• 2+ years of Accounting experience required.
• Experience preparing financial statements in accordance with US GAAP and management analyses preferred.
• Working knowledge of Sarbanes Oxley controls required.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Advanced understanding of accounting processes and principles required.
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills required.
• High level of personal ownership and flexibility expected.
• Excellent communication skills in English (written and oral) required.
• Positive attitude and excellent team player who can meet deadlines.
• High speed internet and connectivity capabilities to facilitate a hybrid schedule.

Preferred Qualifications

• SAP experience is highly desired.
• IFRS knowledge.
