Job summary

GE Vernova's Engineering Innovation Center in Warsaw, Poland seeks a Nuclear Fuel Engineer to contribute to BWR fuel reload licensing and cycle management under senior mentorship. You will deliver analyses, present data to customers, and ensure quality in line with NRC and QA standards.

The role requires a BS in engineering/physics (MS in Nuclear Engineering preferred) and Python or C# skills, with opportunities for professional growth and cross‑functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, physics, or another science field from an accredited university.
• Master's degree in Nuclear Engineering is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Apply analytical methods, procedures, and techniques to solve complex problems
• Execute analysis and design calculations to support operating reactor cores in reload licensing and cycle management
• Prepare and present technical data to internal and external customers
• Document and communicate results of technical data generated
• Maintain and/or exceed baseline project schedule and cost in the delivery of nuclear fuel reload engineering deliverables
• Share information and promote open dialogue, including working effectively in a matrixed team environment
• Ensure work is performed with high quality in accordance with NRC rules and regulations, customer requirements, and business quality assurance standards
• Partner with Commercial Account Managers (CAMs), interface with customer technical personnel, and manage reload projects across the Fuels organization
• Engage in continuous professional development

Job Description Summary

The Nuclear Fuel Engineer will make immediate contributions to BWR fuel reload licensing and cycle management in GNF-A Fuels Engineering while being technically mentored by a team of high-performing engineers. In this role, you will provide innovative licensing and design solutions that ensure high-quality deliverables in accordance with customer requirements, business procedures, and regulatory agency guidelines. Additionally, this position offers direct utility customer-facing opportunities through deliverables, collaboration, and training.
