Job summary

Lever, Inc. is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to design and implement a robust GCP data ecosystem for a client, including data lakes and warehouses. You will gather requirements, model data from diverse sources, and engage directly with stakeholders to deliver measurable improvements.

The role requires strong SQL (BigQuery), Python, and Airflow skills, plus expertise in data modeling, ETL/ELT, and modern tooling like DBT/Dataform. Collaboration across multinational teams is essential.

Qualifications

• At least 4 years as a Data Engineer with GCP cloud infrastructure.
• Deep knowledge of Google Cloud Platform and cloud services.
• Extensive experience building and deploying cloud data pipelines.
• SQL (BigQuery) and NoSQL; design, configure, and manage databases.
• Programming skills in SQL, Python.
• Data modeling techniques and performance tuning.
• Experience with orchestration tool Airflow.
• Experience with ETL/ELT data integration.
• Knowledge of DBT and Dataform.
• Strong communication to collaborate with data scientists and stakeholders.
• Willingness to learn new technologies; experience in multinational environments.
• Git, Jira, Confluence proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Design, model and develop GCP data ecosystem for client.
• Gathering, analyzing, modelling, and documenting requirements; direct client contact.
• Model data from various sources; troubleshoot and deliver new features.
• Design and optimize data storage architectures (data lakes/warehouses).
• Identify and resolve data processing/infrastructure issues; monitor performance.
• Train and mentor less experienced data engineers.
