Job summary

Xebia is seeking an experienced Data Architect to build a modern data platform on Google Cloud. You will design data architectures, model data flows, and define end-to-end data processing with BigQuery, Dataproc, Pub/Sub, and Composer.

You will create high/low level docs, drive architectural decisions, and run workshops with stakeholders across the business. EU-based role with regional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in designing data architectures on Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience designing end-to-end data ingestion and processing solutions.
• Knowledge of BigQuery and either DBT or Dataproc.
• Experience with data modelling and data-flow design.
• Understanding of Medallion and Hub & Spoke architecture patterns.
• Experience selecting and integrating GCP services such as Dataproc, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, BigQuery and Composer.
• Experience designing synchronous and asynchronous integrations and event‑driven architectures.
• Knowledge of data‑retention, purging and Disaster Recovery concepts.
• Experience with GitHub Enterprise Cloud, CI/CD and Terraform.
• Ability to create HLD, LLD, ADR documentation and architectural diagrams.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to present, justify and defend architectural decisions.
• Experience conducting workshops and collaborating with business and technical stakeholders.
