Job summary

ING Hubs Poland is seeking a GCP-focused Platform Engineer proficient in Golang to build and maintain ING’s data and AI platform on Google Cloud. You will develop Golang-based automation, implement IaC with Terraform, and ensure cloud-ready solutions with CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Practical experience building or maintaining platforms on GCP.
• Hands-on experience with Golang (must-have) and concrete examples (CLI tools, microservices, automation, APIs).
• IaC mindset with Terraform.
• Experience with deployment and provisioning automation (Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD).
• Hands-on experience with monitoring, logging, alerting, observability and basic production troubleshooting.

The expected salary for this position: 13000 – 25000 PLN gross
The financial ranges specified in the announcement are adjusted and may differ from the range specified in the remuneration regulations.

We are looking for you, if you:

• have 3+ years of hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), preferably in platform engineering, cloud infrastructure, or DevOps-oriented roles;
• have practical experience building or maintaining platforms on GCP using managed services such as Cloud Run, GKE, BigQuery, Dataproc, Vertex AI, GCS or similar;
• have hands-on experience with Golang — this is a must-have — and can describe concrete examples such as CLI tools, microservices, automation services, provisioning tools, APIs, integrations, or concurrency-based implementations;
• have an Infrastructure as Code mindset and practical experience with Terraform;
• have experience with deployment and provisioning automation, including tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines;
• have hands-on experience with monitoring, logging, alerting, observability and basic production troubleshooting;

You’ll get extra points for:

• experience with secure authentication and encrypted workloads, such as OIDC, KMS, SSL/TLS;
• experience with distributed systems or large-scale data processing on GCP;
• experience supporting internal platform users or tenants.

Your responsibilities:

• build and maintain components of ING’s Data, Analytics and AI Platform on Google Cloud;
• develop Golang-based infrastructure automation services and platform tooling;
• prepare cloud-ready and IaC-based solutions using Terraform and CI/CD pipelines;
• support platform tenants and helping them onboard smoothly;
• maintain and improve key platform components;
• contribute to platform architecture, standards and engineering practices;
• implement and improve monitoring, logging and alerting for platform services;
• support operational stability, including participation in on-call support where applicable;
• collaborate with stakeholders, data engineers, data scientists and platform users to deliver scalable, secure and cost-efficient cloud solutions.

VISTA is ING’s shared, production-grade Data and AI platform that enables teams across ING to deliver Analytics, Business Intelligence, Machine Learning, Generative AI and Agentic AI solutions at scale. The platform is deployed on top of Nebula Public Cloud Foundation and Google Cloud, delivering value through standardized self-service journeys with governance, security and compliance embedded by design.

As a GCP Cloud AI Platform Engineer, you will help build and evolve ING’s next-generation Data, Analytics and Agentic AI platform capabilities. You will develop the cloud foundations, automation tooling and self-service platform experiences that enable AI Engineers, Data Scientists, Data Engineers and analytics teams to build, deploy and operate production-grade AI solutions at scale.

You will work at the intersection of Platform Engineering, Cloud Infrastructure, Generative AI, Agentic AI and Intelligent Automation, helping ING accelerate the adoption of advanced AI solutions on Google Cloud.
