Job summary

ING Hubs Poland is seeking a GCP Platform Engineer to help build a data analytics platform on Google Cloud. You will contribute to a distributed multi-national team, focusing on designing scalable cloud-native solutions.

You will work with the latest technologies for big data and analytics, emphasizing IaC, automation, and secure, reliable infrastructure. collaboration and continuous learning are encouraged.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience with GCP and cloud platforms.
• Experience building data platforms on GCP with managed services (Cloud Run, Vertex AI, GKE, BigQuery, Dataproc).
• Hands-on automation using Golang and IaC mindset (Terraform).
• Deployment and provisioning automation with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD.
• Experience with monitoring, logging and alerting for large platforms.
• Strong communication, collaboration and design-page storytelling abilities.
• Knowledge of networking concepts (VPC, DNS, load balancing, firewalls) and secure authentication (OIDC, TLS/KMS).

Job description

The expected salary for this position: 13000 - 28000 PLN

The financial ranges specified in the announcement are adjusted and may differ from the range specified in the remuneration regulations.

We are looking for you if:

• 4+ years of experience/knowledge with GCP,
• you have built data platforms on top of GCP using managed services like Cloud Run, Vertex AI, GKE, BigQuery, Dataproc, etc.,
• you have experience building infrastructure automation services using Golang,
• you have an Infrastructure as Code mindset (we use Terraform),
• deployment and provisioning automation tools e.g. Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD,
• you have hands‑on experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting,
• you can clearly express ideas, facts, and opinions. Experience elaborating complex ideas as part of design pages, which makes you great to collaborate with,
• understanding the networking concepts, including VPC, DNS, load balancing, and firewalls.
• knowledge in secure authentication and encrypted workloads (OIDC, KMS, client/server SSL/TLS and etc),
• contribution to Open-Source projects is an advantage,
• automate everything mindset.

Information about the squad:

As a GCP Platform Engineer, you will help develop the data-driven products that the AAI Delivery & Transformation organization builds. Within the organization, we use agile, lean and design thinking methodologies to launch new initiatives within or outside of ING.

ING is now building its Data Analytics Platform in Google Cloud! It is to help ING to be even more data driven. This is a joined effort between ING units, and you are going to be part of a distributed multi-national and multi-cultural team. There is plenty of work and fun down this road.

Your passion is to work with the latest and greatest technologies that make working with large amounts of data easy, you are proactive in keeping yourself up to date and trying everything out. You also enjoy laying the architectural foundations for the things you are working on while aligning the business problem with the right technology.
