Job summary

ING Hubs Poland is hiring a GCP Platform Engineer to help build and maintain a data analytics platform on Google Cloud. You will work on diverse services across Cloud Run, Vertex AI, GKE, BigQuery and Dataproc, delivering IaC-driven infrastructure with Terraform.

You will own monitoring, alerting and on-call support, collaborate with multi-national teams, and grow the platform to scale across ING units. The role is based in Katowice, Poland.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience with GCP.
• Built data platforms on GCP using managed services (Cloud Run, Vertex AI, GKE, BigQuery, Dataproc).
• Experience building infrastructure automation services using Golang.
• Infrastructure as Code mindset (Terraform).
• Deployment and provisioning automation tools (Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD).
• Hands-on monitoring, logging, and alerting.
• Clear ability to express ideas and collaborate on design pages.
• Understanding networking concepts (VPC, DNS, load balancing, firewalls).

Responsibilities

• you have an Infrastructure as Code mindset (we use Terraform),

Information About The Squad

As a GCP Platform Engineer, you will help develop the data-driven products that the AAI Delivery & Transformation organization builds. Within the organization, we use agile, lean and design thinking methodologies to launch new initiatives within or outside of ING. ING is now building its Data Analytics Platform in Google Cloud! It is to help ING to be even more data driven. This is a joined effort between ING units, and you are going to be part of a distributed multi-national and multi-cultural team. There is plenty of work and fun down this road. Your passion is to work with the latest and greatest technologies that make working with large amounts of data easy, you are proactive in keeping yourself up to date and trying everything out. You also enjoy laying the architectural foundations for the things you are working on while aligning the business problem with the right technology.
