Job summary

Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. is seeking an experienced PMO Project Manager to lead medium to large-scale initiatives from initiation through delivery.

You will drive planning, governance, risk mitigation and cross-functional collaboration across a global organization to ensure strategic results. The role requires a master's-level qualification and 5+ years of multinational experience, with a strong track record in transformations, integrations, and migrations.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Project Management, IT, Finance, Accounting or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in international and matrixed organizations.
• Proven record leading implementations, integrations and migrations.
• Exposure to digital transformation, system implementations, process automation or software deployment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead medium to large-scale projects from initiation to closure, meeting objectives, timelines, budget, scope and quality.
• Manage project plans, milestones, dependencies, risks, issues and stakeholder expectations across functions.
• Drive governance and project reporting for transparency and effective execution.
• Collaborate with stakeholders within GBS and across the global organization to align priorities.
• Promote OneGBS collaboration, standardization and knowledge sharing.
• Analyze status and propose adjustments to scope, schedule, resources or budget as needed.
• Facilitate cross-functional communication among project participants.
• Communicate status, risks and decisions to senior leadership.
• Lead change-related activities to support adoption and business value realization.
• Manage relationships with external partners and vendors; mentor junior team members.

As part of the Project Management Office (PMO), this role is responsible for leading medium to large-scale projects from initiation through successful delivery. The position focuses on project planning, governance, stakeholder management, risk mitigation, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure strategic initiatives are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead medium to large scale projects from initiation through closure, ensuring successful delivery against business objectives, timelines, budget, scope and quality targets.
• Manage project plans, milestones, dependencies, risks, issues and stakeholder expectations across multiple business functions.
• Drive governance, decision-making processes and project reporting to ensure transparency and effective project execution.
• Partner closely with stakeholders within GBS and across the global organization to align priorities and achieve desired business outcomes.
• Support and drive the OneGBS approach across the organization by promoting collaboration, standardization and knowledge sharing.
• Analyze project status and proactively recommend adjustments to scope, schedule, resources or budget as needed.
• Facilitate collaboration across cross-functional teams and ensure effective communication between all project participants.
• Communicate project status, risks, dependencies, accomplishments and key decisions to senior stakeholders and leadership teams.
• Lead change-related activities supporting successful adoption of project outcomes and sustainable business value realization.
• Manage relationships with external partners and vendors, when applicable.
• Mentor less experienced project team members and contribute to continuous improvement of project management practices and standards.

Here's what you'll need

• Master's degree in Project Management, IT, Finance, Accounting (or in related field)
• 5+ years of progressive experience international and matrixed organizations
• Successful record of leading implementations, integrations and work migrations projects
• Exposure to digital transformation, system implementations, process automation or software deployment projects.
