Job summary

Cisco Systems, Inc. is seeking a Full Stack Developer to join the Splunk Security Automation and Orchestration team. You will design, build and evolve Splunk SOAR, spanning frontend and backend work and owning features from design through release.

You will collaborate with Product, UX and UI Research, focus on security, performance and maintainability, contribute to tooling choices, and help advance AI-assisted development and deployment practices within a fast-moving, cross-functional team.

Qualifications

• 3+ years delivering user-facing full-stack applications.
• Strong JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML and CSS skills.
• Experience with React and Redux, Jest, Storybook or Cypress.
• Backend development experience, preferably Python, with REST APIs.
• Experience building single-page, data-intensive apps with emphasis on usability.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate across teams.

You’ll work alongside engineers, product managers, designers and other specialists to build and improve a customer-facing security product. We value technical ownership, curiosity and pragmatic problem-solving, and give engineers the space to make meaningful technical decisions.

Your impact

As a Full Stack Developer, you’ll help design, build and evolve Splunk SOAR, working across both the frontend and backend. You’ll have ownership of the features you deliver, from initial design through implementation, testing and release, while helping us continuously improve how we build and operate the product.

What you'll do

• Build customer-facing features and end-to-end UI flows, including the code, tests and documentation needed to deliver them.
• Develop backend services, APIs and integrations that support reliable, data-rich user experiences.
• Work closely with Product, UX and UI Research to turn customer needs into simple, intuitive experiences.
• Take ownership of software solutions, with a focus on security, resilience, performance and maintainability.
• Evaluate and introduce tools, frameworks and libraries that can improve the product and the way the team works.
• Use AI-assisted development and automation to improve engineering workflows, cloud deployment and SRE practices.
• Contribute to technical discussions, planning and process improvements across a fast-moving, cross-functional team.

Minimum requirements

• 3+ years of experience building and delivering user-facing full-stack applications.
• Strong JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML and CSS skills, with hands-on experience building modern web applications.
• Experience with React and related technologies such as Redux, Jest, Storybook or Cypress.
• Proven backend development experience, ideally with Python, and a good understanding of REST APIs and asynchronous data flows.
• Experience building single-page, data-intensive applications with a strong focus on usability and performance.
• An understanding of UX principles and experience working closely with product and design teams.
• Strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently, make sound technical decisions and collaborate effectively across teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI/ML-enabled development tools, developer automation, cloud platforms or SRE/deployment practices.
