Job summary

Alarm.com is building a new Krakow-based software engineering team and is looking for a Software Engineer II (Full-stack Web). You will contribute to end-to-end features for customer-facing applications, collaborating with product managers, designers, and peers to deliver scalable solutions that touch both frontend and backend services.

You will gain breadth across frontend and backend technologies, including JavaScript/TypeScript, React, C#, Web APIs, and databases, while learning best

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional software development experience.
• A. or B.S. in Computer Science or similar engineering program.
• English proficiency, strong verbal and written communication.
• Experience building full-stack web applications (JavaScript, TypeScript, React, CSS, HTML).
• Exposure to backend, OOP development (C# or similar, Web API).
• Familiarity with relational databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL).
• Understanding of software engineering fundamentals, data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.
• Experience with version control (Git).
• Strong interest in learning backend and frontend best practices.
• Good communication and collaboration skills, with proficiency in English.

Responsibilities

• Contribute and Deliver: Implement full-stack features (frontend and backend) under guidance from senior engineers.
• Collaborate: Work closely with teammates, product managers, and designers to build user-facing features that scale globally.
• Problem Solve: Develop efficient, maintainable code balancing performance, security, and reliability.
• Grow Across Layers: Build experience in frontend (React, Ember, etc.) and backend services (C#, Web APIs, microservices).
• Ensure Quality: Write unit tests, participate in QA cycles, and monitor production performance.
• Continuous Learning: Stay up to date with new tools and best practices while building technical foundation.
• Team Contribution: Participate in code reviews, team discussions, and documentation.
