We’re looking for an experienced Senior Full-Stack Java Engineer to modernise and enhance enterprise digital platforms, delivering scalable, secure and high-performing web and mobile applications. You’ll work across backend services, modern frontend technologies, cloud infrastructure and AI-driven solutions, while helping evolve legacy systems and drive engineering best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop backend applications using Java 8 and Spring Boot 2.7.
• Build responsive web applications using React, TypeScript and JSP.
• Modernise legacy Struts applications and migrate to modern architectures.
• Develop and maintain REST and GraphQL APIs and event-driven services using Kafka.
• Design and optimise SQL and NoSQL data-access layers.
• Implement automated testing, CI/CD pipelines and DevOps improvements.
• Deploy and support containerised applications using Docker and cloud platforms.
• Lead security remediation, vulnerability management and dependency upgrades.
• Troubleshoot production issues and improve application performance, reliability and scalability.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools and contribute to Generative AI and RAG solutions.
• Collaborate with architects, product teams and engineers on technical design and platform modernisation.
• Strong commercial experience with Java and Spring Boot.
• Full-stack development experience with React, TypeScript and Java-based web applications.
• Experience building REST APIs and working with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Knowledge of software engineering best practices, automated testing, code reviews and CI/CD.
• Experience with Git, build tools and application troubleshooting.
• Understanding of application security, vulnerability remediation and secure development practices.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in an agile engineering environment.

Preferred Skills & Experience

• Experience maintaining or modernising legacy applications using Struts 1.1.
• GraphQL and event-driven architecture experience using Kafka.
• Cloud experience across AWS, GCP or Azure.
• Docker, Maven, npm/pnpm and monorepo migration experience.
• Experience with GitHub Copilot or other AI-assisted development tools.
• Exposure to Generative AI, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and AI-enabled engineering workflows.
• Experience with certificate lifecycle management and production support in enterprise environments.
