Job summary

Atos is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Full Stack) to join an international team for the SIMPL Programme, aimed at building a secure, modular data-space platform.

You will work hands-on across frontend and backend development, delivering scalable applications, APIs, and integrations in collaboration with Architects, Product Owners, Business Analysts, Test Engineers and DevOps specialists.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience, including hands-on full-stack development.
• Strong practical experience with Java, ideally Java 21, Spring Framework and Spring Boot.
• Strong hands-on experience with React and TypeScript.
• Solid experience in REST API design and integration.
• Practical experience with Apache Kafka and event-driven integrations.
• Good knowledge of relational databases and database interactions.
• Experience with automated testing, JUnit, Git and code-review practices.
• Experience working within Agile/Scrum delivery teams.
• Understanding of secure coding and software quality practices.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within an international, cross-functional team.
• Very good command of English.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and maintain backend services using Java 21, Spring Framework and Spring Boot.
• Develop modern frontend applications using React, TypeScript and JavaScript.
• Design, develop and maintain REST APIs and platform integrations.
• Build and support event-driven integrations using Apache Kafka.
• Develop and optimize application interactions with relational databases.
• Ensure high code quality through automated testing, peer reviews, JUnit, SonarQube and secure coding practices.
• Identify and address security findings and vulnerabilities, including those identified through Fortify and other security scans.
• Build and package applications using Maven and support deployment and operational activities in Tomcat-based environments, Argo and Rancher.
• Investigate and troubleshoot technical issues using logs, monitoring tools and Elasticsearch.
• Maintain code, configuration and technical documentation using Git, Jira and Confluence.
• Contribute to engineering best practices and continuous improvement across the programme.

You will work hands-on across frontend and backend development, building scalable applications, APIs and integrations in close cooperation with Architects, Product Owners, Business Analysts, Test Engineers and DevOps specialists.
