Job summary

Citi Solutions Center Poland is seeking a Java Full Stack Developer to join the FRM tech group, building Iris and related applications to advance Citi’s loan hedging capabilities. You will own design, development, and end-to-end delivery across the SDLC in a hybrid work environment.

The role requires 4–5 years of full-stack experience with Java, Spring Boot, SQL, and Angular, plus familiarity with containers and CI/CD. A Bachelor’s degree is expected, with strong English communication.

Qualifications

• 4–5 years in modern full-stack development.
• Strong hands-on Java, Spring Boot, and SQL skills.
• Solid understanding of best practices, design patterns, and writing clean, testable, performant code.
• Relational DBs such as SQL Server and PostgreSQL; NoSQL like MongoDB.
• Angular experience (v11+) is a plus.
• Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and fast-paced delivery.
• Fluent in English, with good communication skills.

Job description

The Java Full Stack Developer is responsible for working alongside Citi’s Financial Resource Management (FRM) team across technology to design and code cutting-edge solutions to exciting business problems. We are currently focusing on the technical buildout of Iris, an exciting new product suite of modern applications that will enhance Citi’s loan

hedging capabilities.

Responsibilities:

• Participate in feasibility analysis, estimation, and technical planning for new and existing applications.
• Design, develop, test, and implement scalable application solutions, taking ownership across the full software development lifecycle.
• Analyze complex technical and business problems to propose effective, high-quality solutions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver value driven solutions
• Ensure application performance, stability, and security through monitoring and post-implementation improvements.
• Uphold code quality by contributing to development standards, best practices, code reviews, and CI/CD processes
• Support production systems by troubleshooting issues and providing timely resolutions and enhancements
• Continuously evaluate and improve system design, development processes, and technologies.

Recommended Qualifications:

• Experience: 4–5 years in systems analysis and the development of modern full-stack applications.
• Core Technical Skills: Strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, and SQL.
• Software Engineering Practices: Solid understanding of best practices, including clean code, design patterns, and writing high-quality, testable, and performant code.
• Database Proficiency: Solid understanding of relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, PostgreSQL) and familiarity with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB).
• Front-End Development: Experience with Angular (v11 or newer) is a plus.
• Cloud & DevOps (Advantageous): Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift), CI/CD pipelines, and microservices architecture is an advantage.
• Professional Attributes: Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to deliver results in a fast‑paced environment.
• Communication: Good communication skills with fluency in English.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
