Job summary

Aras Corporation in Kraków seeks an experienced Frontend Tech Lead to drive technical execution, maintain high engineering standards, and grow the frontend team building a complex enterprise low-code platform.

You will write production code and mentor engineers, define testing and accessibility strategies, champion AI-first development, and collaborate with architects to reduce risk and deliver scalable UI components.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of frontend web development experience with leadership exposure.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day technical execution, break down features, and manage design decisions with architects.
• Participate in delivery through hands-on implementation, code reviews, and debugging; unblock engineers.
• Define and enforce code quality standards including testing, branching, release practices, and accessibility.
• Lead AI adoption within the team and establish AI workflows for development, testing, and documentation.
• Define automated testing strategy and collaborate with QA to build a testing culture across the team.
• Mentor engineers, promote best frontend practices, and support professional growth.
• Identify bottlenecks in workflows and drive improvements to tooling, CI/CD, and developer experience.
• Track debt backlog and ensure visibility and intentional addressing of tech debt.
• Provide technical input to planning, estimates, dependencies, and risk mitigation.
• Collaborate with architects on design feasibility and participate in discovery and PoCs.
• Coordinate with other teams on integration and shared changes; onboard new team members.

We are looking for an experienced Frontend Tech Lead to drive technical execution, maintain high engineering standards, and grow the capabilities of the frontend team. You are equally comfortable writing production code and guiding engineers — bringing technical depth and practical leadership to a team building a complex enterprise low-code platform.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day technical execution: break down features into tasks, communicate complexity and risks with architects and stakeholders, follow architectural guardrails, make team-level design decisions, and elevate when changes affect other teams.
• Participate directly in delivery through hands-on implementation, daily code reviews, and technical troubleshooting; unblock engineers with direct technical support
• Define and enforce code quality standards for the team: reviews, testing, branching and release practices, accessibility, performance, and maintainability
• Lead AI adoption within the team: establish AI-first practices for development, testing, and documentation; define appropriate usage boundaries and review standards for AI-generated output
• Define and own the automated testing strategy: establish test layer boundaries in partnership with QA, select tooling, and build a testing culture across the team
• Mentor and coach engineers, promoting best practices in frontend development and UX quality; actively support their professional growth and skill development
• Identify and resolve technical bottlenecks in developer workflows and team processes; drive improvements to build tooling, CI/CD pipelines, and overall developer experience
• Track the technical debt backlog; keep debt visible, prioritised, and addressed intentionally rather than silently accumulated
• Provide technical input to planning: estimates, dependencies, integration risks, and early identification of technical blockers
• Collaborate with architects on design intent, constraints, and feasibility; participate in discovery, prototyping, and PoCs to validate and reduce risk
• Coordinate with other teams on integration and shared changes
• Onboard new team members with technical ramp-up, environment guidance, and codebase orientation

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in frontend web development, with 2+ years in a formal Tech Lead role.
• Advanced TypeScript knowledge and fluency in modern ECMAScript standards.
• Strong understanding of Web Components, modern browser platform APIs, a11y requirements, and cross-browser development.
• Strong knowledge of software architecture patterns and design principles: OOP, SOLID, design patterns, component architecture, and event-driven architecture.
• Solid knowledge of modern frontend frameworks, their underlying principles, and state management approaches.
• Hands-on experience with modern frontend tooling (linters, Vite, Vitest, Playwright, Storybook, and similar) and experience building and owning a frontend testing strategy end-to-end.
• AI-first mindset: daily hands-on practice with AI-assisted development tools and the ability to establish structured, team-wide AI workflows covering development, testing, and documentation.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, build tooling optimization, and developer experience improvements.
• Strong communication skills across code reviews, written documentation, and stakeholder conversations.
• Familiar with agile practices and able to work in a self-organized team.
