Job summary

Breakneck Studio is hiring a Founding Engineer to own features end-to-end—from database schema to UI and event tracking. You will shape architecture, integrations, and the orchestration layer for Marlow AI, working across traveler and advisor flows on a fast‑growing travel platform.

We expect 3–7 years shipping production web apps, strong TypeScript skills, and hands‑on experience with Next.js/Remix or similar.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years shipping production web apps
• Be TS-native: write and read TypeScript without hesitation
• Experience with at least one modern meta-framework and SSR vs client boundaries
• Integrated 10+ third-party APIs with auth, webhooks, and verification
• Strong communication with founders and cross-functional stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Own features end-to-end: DB schema, server logic, UI, and analytics
• Design and evolve Postgres schemas with RLS and GRANTs
• Integrate and maintain third‑party APIs and webhooks
• Build and refine LLM tooling inside Marlow AI orchestration layer
• Instrument features against a unified event schema for data-driven decisions
• Ship on Cloudflare edge runtime and reason about SSR vs client boundaries
• Write tests and work with AI-agent dogfooding
• Take ownership of ambiguous problems and push to production
• Contribute to technical direction as the team grows
