Job summary

SearchApi is seeking a builder-designer hybrid to make a developer-facing product feel premium. Design in Figma and ship it in production using Hotwire. You’ll own the dashboard, API playground, docs, and marketing experience for a fast, data-dense UI.

Fully remote role—design and build from a flexible, fast-paced startup environment. You’ll take features from mockups to merged PRs, ensuring taste, performance, and reliability for engineers who rely on our tools.

Qualifications

• Production frontend you designed and built yourself, with links to show it.
• Strong server-rendered, component-based stack (Rails + Hotwire strongly preferred).
• Fluent with Tailwind and a real design tool like Figma.

Responsibilities

• Design and ship, not hand off. Take a feature from Figma to a merged PR: ViewComponents, Stimulus controllers, Tailwind, the whole thing.
• Own the dashboard. The logged-in experience: usage analytics, request history, billing, API keys.
• Build interactive API playgrounds that show real JSON live.
• Own the docs and marketing experience. Keep the component system coherent, fast, and beautiful.
