GSK Poland is seeking a First Line Sales Manager for its Oncology Hematology team. The role focuses on leading and developing a high-performing sales force, creating sales strategies, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations. Candidates should have significant experience in oncology, especially in the Multiple Myeloma market, and exhibit strong leadership skills.
This is a unique opportunity to influence the trajectory of GSK Poland’s hematology/oncology franchise.
As a First Line Sales Manager in our Oncology Hematology team, you will set high ambitions and create a thriving, high performing team who delivers exceptional customer experiences and value. You will strategically lead the field sales teams (Key Account Managers) to achieve their goals to meet territory business objectives through inspirational leadership, motivational coaching, development of the team’s scientific knowledge, business planning and selling capabilities. This role is ideal for individuals with experience in the hematology field, specifically the Multiple Myeloma market.

This is a field-based role, meaning the successful candidate will be able to work remotely but with required travel within the country, and attendance to head office as required.

Team Leadership:Lead, manage, and motivate the Hematology sales force to achieve and exceed sales targets and objectives. Serve as a role model for the sales team, demonstrating best practices, professionalism, and a commitment to excellence in all sales activities. Motivates and inspires their team by keeping them connected with the broader organisation, celebrating success, ensuring that top performers feel recognized and valued, underperformance is being managed and removing/reducing barriers and issues that impact belief and motivation.
Coaching and Development:Provide ongoing coaching, training, and development opportunities to enhance the skills and performance of the sales team. Talent development & succession planning. Fostering growth mindset.
Sales Strategy Execution:Communicate the strategy and objectives to sales team and translate it into local implementation plans to achieve the desired targets. Develop and implement effective sales strategies and plans in alignment with GSK’s overall business objectives.
Performance Monitoring:Ensure successful performance of the sales team, striving to exceed targets. Monitor and evaluate the performance of the sales team, providing regular feedback and implementing corrective actions as needed.
Customer Relationship Management:Accountable for the team fostering and maintaining strong relationships with key healthcare professionals and stakeholders to drive sales and market share.
Market Analysis:Conduct market analysis to identify trends, growth opportunities, and competitive threats, and adjust sales strategies accordingly.
Cross-functional Collaboration:Collaborate with marketing, medical, and other internal teams to ensure alignment and support for sales initiatives.
Compliance:Ensure all sales activities comply with relevant pharmaceutical industry regulations, company policies, and ethical standards with strong governance.
Reporting:Prepare and present regular sales reports and forecasts to management, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
Event Coordination:Organize and manage sales meetings, training sessions, and other events to support the sales team and promote GSK’s hemato-oncology portfolio.
What you bring to the role:
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business, Life Sciences, or related field (master’s degree preferred)
5+ recent years working in oncology role, with significant and recent hematological oncology experience (minimum 3 years, Multiple Myeloma is preferred)
Experience in people management
5+ years of sales/sales management success, with proven track record of successful product launch (preferred in oncology) and good understanding of account management principles and philosophies.
Marketing experience is a plus
Excellent mastery of tech tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Cloud Services, etc.)
Strong understanding of Poland pharmaceutical market dynamics, oncology healthcare system and reimbursement pathways, and payer landscapes
Fluent in Polish; ability to communicate in English

Requirements
Valid Driver’s License
Ability to travel within territory and domestically as required
Must be at ease with technology (the use of various tools/systems to perform day-to-day tasks).
