Job summary

Openchip & Software Technologies S.L. is seeking experienced engineers to develop low- and mid-level software, including BIOS, firmware, and device drivers for Linux, enabling novel hardware accelerators and telemetry.

You will work on emulation, simulation, and virtualization, collaborating with hardware teams and middleware groups while mentoring junior colleagues and ensuring code quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master’s degree in a relevant field.
• 10+ years of experience in the relevant field.
• Solid knowledge about computer architecture (CPU, cache and memory hierarchy).
• Good understanding of pre-boot and boot process, and Linux kernel internals.
• Knowledge about compilation and linking process (toolchains, binutils, dynamic loading).
• Solid knowledge of low-level development languages (C, Rust).
• Experience with assembly language (any architecture).
• Experience with Git, CI, and Jira.

Responsibilities

• Develop low- and mid-level software (BIOS, firmware, emulation) for novel hardware features.
• Develop and maintain device drivers for Linux to expose features and acceleration.
• Provide monitoring, telemetry, and health metrics export.
• Collaborate with hardware and middleware teams to co-design and resolve issues.
• Mentor junior team members and review code artifacts.
