Sii Poland is seeking a Kotlin-focused backend engineer to join a fintech platform in Wrocław. You will design, implement, and maintain microservices, collaborating with cross-functional teams across Platform, Services, and SMB domains.

The role emphasizes system reliability, code quality, and scalable architecture, with hands-on cloud and database experience. English proficiency and Poland residency are required for this position.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software development experience.
• Kotlin in commercial projects experience.
• Experience with backend systems and microservices architecture.
• Basic experience with cloud environments (AWS, Kubernetes).
• Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL) and testing/observability tools (JUnit, Grafana).
• Excellent English communication.
• Residence in Poland required.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain microservices using Kotlin
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions across Platform, Services, SMB, and other domains
• Support system performance monitoring and contribute to reliability and scalability improvements
• Participate in code reviews and maintain high code quality standards
• Contribute to continuous improvement of code quality and system architecture
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
