Job summary

SD Solutions is seeking a QA Team Lead to build, guide, and establish our offshore QA team, collaborating with our Israel-based QA colleagues to ensure the highest quality standards. You will champion quality engineering practices, mentor engineers, and define the test automation strategy alongside manual testing efforts.

This role focuses on scaling automation frameworks, robust API/mobile/UI testing coverage, and coordinating with development teams to unblock delivery.

Qualifications

• Certified in software testing (ISTQB/CSTE or similar).
• 2–3 years as a quality assurance team lead.
• 2–3 years QA experience in Fintech/Banking.
• Familiar with PCI and data privacy in test environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in information systems or related field.
• Experience with API testing and mobile testing (iOS/Android).
• Knowledge of MySQL and MongoDB.
• Programming with TypeScript for automated tests.
• Knowledge of Playwright and Appium testing frameworks.
• Experience with JIRA and Agile (Scrum/Kanban).
• Strong communication, analytics, and problem solving.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Curious mindset to learn new testing tools (AI Claude).
• Keep up-to-date with testing tools and best practices.

On behalf of FinTech Client #6, SD Solutions is looking for a talented QA Team Lead to build, guide, and establish our QA team. In this role, you will champion quality engineering practices, mentor a growing team, and work in tight alignment with our Israel‑based QA team to ensure our products meet the highest organizational standards. You will be responsible for defining and driving our test automation strategy alongside manual testing efforts, ensuring the quality of our software products by identifying defects early in the lifecycle and validating system reliability work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams. Your role will be critical in scaling our automation frameworks, maintaining high software quality standards, and providing reliable solutions that meet user and business requirements.

Responsibilities

• Team Leadership & Establishment: Build, mentor, and manage the offshore QA team, encouraging continuous learning with a strong emphasis on modern test automation tools and frameworks.
• Cross-Border Collaboration: Align with IL Leadership: Work directly under the guidance of the Israeli QA Manager to ensure absolute alignment on testing strategies, release schedules, and the scaling of our global automation infrastructure.
• Uphold Global Quality Standards: Ensure the offshore team seamlessly adopts and executes according to established Neema’s quality assurance both automation and manual technical standards.
• Cross-Functional Coordination: Act as the bridge, coordinating daily efforts between your QA team and the development teams to streamline communication and resolve blockers.
• Multitask & Promote Success: Dynamically manage multiple testing priorities simultaneously, balancing manual and automated efforts while serving as a champion for your team's achievements and growth.

Requirements

• Relevant certification in software testing or quality assurance (ISTQB, CSTE, or similar) - must have.
• 2-3 years of experience as a quality assurance team lead - must have.
• Minimum 2-3 years of direct QA experience within Fintech / Banking - must have.
• Familiarity with financial security audits, data privacy standards (e.g., PCI), and risk mitigation in test environments - must have.
• A Bachelor’s degree in information systems or a related field - required.
• Experience with API testing and mobile app testing (iOS and Android) - must have.
• Database strong knowledge mySQL & MongoDB - must have.
• Programming language knowledge, such as TypeScript, to build and run automated test scripts - must have.
• Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and frameworks. (i.e Playwright, Appium) - required.
• Experience with bug tracking and project management tools (JIRA) - required.
• Familiarity with Agile methodology and tools (Scrum, Kanban) - required.
• Strong communication skills for documenting test results and interacting with cross‑functional teams - required.
• Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem‑solving ability - required.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment - required.
• A curious mindset with a willingness to quickly learn new technologies and testing tools such as AI Claude, for example - required.
• Stay updated on the latest software testing tools, trends, and best practices - required.
