Job summary

Citi Solutions Center Poland seeks a Product Control Analyst to contribute to the completeness and integrity of the bank's books, supporting data integrity, GL reconciliation and P&L reporting for Global Markets desks.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze information and make data-based recommendations.
  • Escalate anomalies and issues promptly.
  • Perform daily and monthly P&L reporting for Global Markets desks.
  • Review Balance Sheets for 34 countries and ensure data accuracy.
  • Review Profit Attribution Analysis and MTM for new trades and risk factors.
  • Monitor daily funding rates for currencies used in Transfer Pricing.
  • Reconcile daily P&L with the General Ledger on a monthly basis.

Job description

Product Control Analyst is an entry level position responsible for contributing to efforts that ensure the completeness, accuracy and integrity of the bank’s books and records in coordination with the Finance team. The overall objective of this role is to assist in the control and support of data integrity and general ledger reconciliation, profit attribution and new activity analysis, valuation control and product P&L and balance sheet reporting.

Responsibilities
  • Analyze information and make recommendations based on data
  • Select the best pre-defined procedure to resolve issues and seek guidance when necessary
  • Escalate anomalies and issues in an efficient and timely manner
  • Avoid conflicts of interest and assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm\'s reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency
  • Daily and monthly reporting of P&L (Profit and Loss) for Global Markets desk, including control and analysis of the underlying transaction data for different financial products, mainly: FX, Bonds, IRS, Deposits
  • Daily and monthly Balance Sheet reporting for 34 countries, including review of business level drivers and correctness of system data
  • Daily review and analysis of PAA (Profit Attribution Analysis) including new trades, MTM and associated commentary on key risk factors and market moves
  • Review of daily funding rates for different currencies used for Transfer Pricing calculation
  • Monthly reconciliation between reported P&L and the General Ledger
Qualifications
  • Previous relevant experience preferred (1-2Y)
  • Fluent spoken and written English and strong communication skills, as well as energy and motivation to work in Finance area
  • Strong analytical skills and MS Office knowledge (mainly Excel)
  • Basic financial product knowledge is required (FX, Forwards, T-Bills, Bonds, IRS, Balance Sheet) as well as general Finance/Markets knowledge
