Job summary

Our Client, a US-based AI company with a Warsaw hub, is seeking a Director of Finance and Operations to lead Finance and Operations for the EMEA region from Warsaw. This senior, hands-on role oversees budgeting, forecasting, reporting and controls while ensuring smooth daily operations in a dynamic, AI-driven environment.

You will collaborate with senior leaders across Finance, Engineering and Product, applying AI tools to increase efficiency and provide strategic insights.

Qualifications

• Senior finance leadership experience in a high-growth technology or B2B SaaS company
• Strong FP&A experience, including budgeting, forecasting, scenario planning and variance analysis
• Good understanding of accounting, cash management, payroll, tax and statutory compliance
• Strong commercial judgment and confidence working with senior stakeholders
• Hands‑on approach to building simple and scalable processes and controls
• Experience working in an international environment, ideally across EU/US operations
• AI-native mindset and practical experience using AI tools in everyday work
• Fluent English and Polish
• Based in or willing to work from Warsaw

Responsibilities

• Own the annual budget, financial forecasts, rolling forecasts, headcount planning and cash planning
• Prepare monthly management reporting and variance analysis
• Provide leadership with clear visibility into financial performance, risks and spending
• Coordinate accounting, payroll, tax, cash management and statutory reporting with internal teams and external providers
• Build and improve financial controls around purchasing, expenses, contracts and vendors
• Prepare financial scenarios and analyses supporting hiring, investment and resource allocation decisions
• Work closely with Engineering and Product leaders on planning and monitoring their budgets
• Oversee the day-to-day operational side of the Warsaw hub, including office, onboarding, vendors and cross-functional activities
• Use AI tools to improve reporting, analysis, automation and everyday Finance & Operations processes
