Baltic Assist is seeking a detail-oriented accounting assistant in Poland with a remote-friendly setup. You will join a team delivering bookkeeping, accounting, and financial support to Scandinavian clients, handling invoices, bank transactions, and reports.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Handle primary bookkeeping (invoices, bank transactions, payments).
• Collect and analyze financial data from different sources and input into the system to ensure completeness, accuracy and timeliness of accounting information.
• Perform reconciliations of banks' accounts payable and receivable.
• Prepare periodic reports in time.
• Communicate with customers on accounting matters.
• Assist senior finance associates and financial accountants on various tasks.

Salary: 1200 - 1900 EUR/month gross (before tax) based on your competencies, skills, and experience.

Location: Poland (remote)

Schedule: 1 FTE (40 hours/week)

What You'll Be Doing

You will be responsible for handling various accounting tasks, work with a dedicated team and support the business in achieving strategic company objectives. It is an exciting role with great responsibility and opportunities to grow.

How You'll Spend Your Day

• Will be responsible for primary bookkeeping (record of invoices, bank transactions, payments).
• Collecting and analyzing financial and administrative data from different sources and putting them in the system to ensure that accounting information is complete, accurate, and timely.
• Performing reconciliations of banks' accounts payable and receivable.
• Preparing periodic reports in time.
• Communicating with the customers on accounting matters.
• Assisting senior finance associates and financial accountants on various tasks.

Interview process

As part of the first interview, candidates will be asked to demonstrate their financial knowledge through a few targeted questions and a short verbal task. The task is designed to assess your understanding of bookkeeping theory and your ability to apply core accounting principles in practical scenarios.
