Our Global Customer Support division manages Kongsberg Maritime's services, upgrades, and support in the aftermarket. The position

We are seeking a Field Service Engineer – Mechanical Systems. In this role, you will join the Global Customer Support Service Delivery Team and report to the Operations Manager. Your responsibilities will include installation and commissioning of Kongsberg’s Propulsion & Engines Systems on vessels and at major shipyards worldwide, as well as providing in-house technical support to customers. Candidates with mechanical systems technical qualifications are encouraged to apply. Kongsberg Maritime Italy, with offices in Genoa and Rome, provides sales, aftermarket support, and customer service to our clients.

Key accountabilities

• Inspection, repair, and troubleshooting of propulsion products (mechanical) according to procedures and regulations.
• Supporting technical inquiries in collaboration with Technical Support & Engineering departments.
• Continuous improvement of commissioning, repairs, and overhauls processes.
• Documentation and reporting of activities.

Qualifications and experience

• Competence with mechanical and/or hydraulic systems.
• Good computer skills.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English.
• Willingness and motivation for worldwide support activities.
• Experience with Kongsberg Maritime products is advantageous.
