Job summary

Airbus Helicopters Polska Sp. z o.o. seeks a Fatigue & Damage Tolerance Stress Engineer to join the Polish engineering centre in Kraków.

You will contribute to design, validation, and certification for major structural components, engaging with global teams across Toulouse, Filton, Getafe, and Hamburg. The role requires a Master’s in engineering, FDT expertise, and strong English; knowledge of Nastran/Hypermesh/Abaqus is beneficial.

Qualifications

Master's degree in Aeronautical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering or related field.
Proven experience in Fatigue and Damage Tolerance (FDT).
Experience within an aeronautical structure environment is a plus.
Familiarity with airworthiness regulations (EASA, FAA) and certification processes is a plus.
Ability to work in a multidisciplinary and international team.
Fluency in English is required.
Knowledge of Nastran, Hypermesh, ISAMI, Abaqus is advantageous.
Leadership and strong communication and listening skills.

Responsibilities

Justification and Certification contributions: stress dossiers, certification activities, and concessions.
Technical support for damage correlation in fatigue tests and FDT calculations.
Collaborate with aerodynamics, loads, systems, manufacturing, and customer services.
Support knowledge capitalization and continuous improvement within the FDT community.
