Job summary

Texas Instruments Europe is offering a role for a Field Applications Engineer as part of the FAST Development Program in Poland. This program combines technical training with real-world applications, where new employees will act as technical consultants solving design challenges and building relationships with customers.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and fluency in both Polish and English. The role includes rotations across various teams, providing comprehensive exposure to TI's operations and strong development opportunities.

Job Description

TI’s FAST (Field Applications & Sales Training) Program prepares Sales & Applications team members for customer‑oriented careers that pair technical skills with business perspectives. The program includes two tracks: Field Applications and Technical Sales.

Field Applications Engineer Track
As a Field Applications Engineer you will
  • Act as a technical consultant to solve design challenges with the TI portfolio and become a trusted advisor for customers.
  • Understand the basics of analog circuitry, including op‑amps, DC/DC power, data converters, sensing, and other analog components.
  • Build up specific knowledge in your customers’ applications and relevant TI portfolio to make system‑level proposals to maximize TI’s revenue.
  • Create and understand block diagrams based on your customers’ applications (examples include EV charging, heat pump, head‑up display).
  • Build relationships with customers, focusing on engineering departments.
  • Leverage market knowledge and data insights to discover new business opportunities and independently develop creative ways to create new opportunities.
Role

The 12‑month FAST Development Program prepares future Field Applications Engineers (FAEs) for their role as technical experts in the Texas Instruments product portfolio. The goal of the program is to provide hands‑on experience, training, and mentoring. During the program, you will have access to various departments and gain insight into long‑term development opportunities at TI. The trainee program includes four rotations.

Rotations
  1. Rotation 1: Field Sales Office (FSO) – 5 months
    The FSO rotation focuses on learning how to interact with customers and solve technical challenges at the customer site. You will provide technical advice at the system level, analyze technical alternatives, and select the right components while considering design and cost challenges.
  2. Rotation 2: Mass‑Market Team – 3 months
    You will learn data‑driven solutions and automation to optimize sales, develop hybrid sales techniques, improve digital customer relationships, and strengthen independence and confidence in direct communication with customers.
  3. Rotation 3: Systems Engineering & Marketing (SEM) – 3 months
    This rotation provides hands‑on experience in product & PCB layouts, production processes at TI, circuit development, testing, and validation of designs.
  4. Rotation 4: Headquarters Experience – 3 weeks (Dallas, USA)
    You will build a multi‑level network with key stakeholders, experience the Dallas campus, and learn how to utilize TI resources.

Qualifications
Minimum requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related field.
  • Fluent in Polish and English, both written and oral communication skills.
  • Basic understanding of semiconductors, electrical systems, schematics, and analog components.
  • Knowledge of analog circuitry (examples include op‑amps, DC/DC power, data converters, sensing, etc.).
  • Passion for solving technical challenges and enjoying technical conversations with external and internal counterparts.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a competitive mindset and results‑focus.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, ability to work in cross‑functional teams, and to build strong relationships internally and externally.
  • Time‑management skills and ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to a changing environment.
