(Polish GAAP, Internal Finance Team)

Place of work: Cracow

Job purpose:

Ensure accurate financial records through general ledger bookings, account reconciliations, and managing tax processes. Oversee Accounts Payable, review T&E reports, and provide Group and external reporting in compliance with regulatory standards. Collaborate with internal teams and external entities for accurate financial reporting and compliance.

Responsibilities:

  1. Calculate and perform general ledger bookings and account reconciliation (e.g., calculate provisions, pre-payments, prepare bank reconciliations).
  2. Manage end-to-end processes for direct and indirect taxes, including income tax calculations and VAT reporting.
  3. Oversee Accounts Payable process, including invoice processing in Coupa and SAP, and review payment positions.
  4. Review T&E reports according to Polish regulations.
  5. Provide Group and external reporting (BS, P&L, IFRS, SST, Polish Accounting Standards, Polish Tax regulations).
  6. Prepare GUS/NBP reports.
  7. Perform Intercompany processes: postings, billing, reconciliation, support cash flow monitoring, and reminders to internal customers.
  8. Participate in the annual statutory audit process.
  9. Perform closing activities, maintain interfaces to Sub ledger, revaluation, regrouping, and cost allocation cycles.
  10. Support projects like Group Chart of Accounts changes.
  11. Collaborate with PPM Team, CFO, legal, accounting, and accounts payable departments.
  12. Execute controls within ICFR framework.

Candidate’s profile:

  1. University degree in finance, accounting, auditing, or economics.
  2. Strong understanding and experience with Polish GAAP, IFRS, Polish Tax, and regulatory requirements (CIT, VAT).
  3. At least 2-3 years of practical accounting experience in GL, reporting, and data analysis.
  4. Excellent English communication skills.
  5. Proficient in SAP and Excel; experience with Optima is a plus.
  6. Analytical, detail-oriented, reliable, proactive, goal-driven, flexible.
  7. Available for an 18-month contract with potential extension.
