Job Responsibilities
Facility Operations & Maintenance
- Manage the daily operations of warehouse facilities, ensuring efficiency and compliance with company policies.
- Oversee the maintenance of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, security, and other critical systems.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance plans to minimize downtime.
- Monitor facility conditions and coordinate necessary repairs and upgrades.
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with Polish health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations.
- Conduct regular facility inspections and risk assessments.
- Implement fire safety, emergency response, and occupational health programs.
- Train warehouse personnel on safety procedures and regulatory requirements.
Space & Infrastructure Management
- Optimize warehouse layout and space utilization to improve workflow and storage efficiency.
- Work closely with logistics, supply chain, and operations teams to support warehouse productivity.
- Manage warehouse expansion or renovation projects as needed.
- Ensure proper lighting, ventilation, and ergonomic conditions for employees.
- Supervise third-party service providers for facility maintenance, cleaning, and security.
- Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with vendors, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality service.
- Monitor contractor performance and ensure compliance with agreed terms.
Budget & Cost Management
- Develop and manage facility maintenance budgets.
- Monitor facility-related expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Plan and oversee capital expenditures for facility improvements.
Energy Efficiency & Sustainability
- Implement strategies for energy savings and sustainability initiatives.
- Monitor energy consumption and recommend improvements to reduce costs.
- Ensure waste management and recycling programs are effectively executed.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Facility Management, Engineering, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in warehouse facility management, logistics, or operations.
- Strong knowledge of building maintenance, safety regulations, and warehouse infrastructure.
- Familiarity with Polish regulatory requirements for warehouse operations and safety.
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Proficiency in facility management software, Microsoft Office, and ERP systems.
- Strong communication skills in Polish and English (other languages are a plus).
