Job summary

Aptiv PLC in Kraków is seeking an Optical Systems Engineer to develop and design optical systems for vision applications, perform light simulations, and prepare detailed specifications.

The role requires a Master’s in Physics/Optics/Photonics, familiarity with radiometry/photometry, and experience with ray-trace tools (LightTools, Zemax, Imatest). Proficiency in Python/Matlab/C++ and strong English communication are valued.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Physics, Optics or Photonics.
• Experience in design of optical components and/or systems.
• Familiarity with radiometry and photometry.
• Knowledge of aberrations in optical systems.
• Experience with ray-trace software: LightTools, Zemax, Imatest.
• Python, Matlab or C++ is a plus.
• Good verbal and written English communication.

Your Role

• Develop and design of optical systems for vision solutions;

• Preparation of optical systems specifications;

• Light simulations;

• Radiometric and photometric measurements at modern optical laboratory;

Your Background

• Master Degree in Physics, Optics or Photonics or similar;

• Familiarity with optics, radiometry, photometry;

• Experience in design of optical components and/or systems;

• Knowledge of the aberrations of optical systems;

• Experience with ray trace analysis software : (LightTools, Zemax, Imatest);

• Experience with Python, Matlab, C++ is a plus

• Good verbal and written communication skills (English);
