Job summary

PwC Poland's Financial Crime Unit (FCU) is seeking an Experienced Team Leader with German to guide a 10–15 member AML team. You will monitor performance, manage workloads, and ensure compliance with policies while supporting recruitment and staff development.

The role emphasizes cross-border collaboration, coaching, and implementing key operations projects within a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a team of AML analysts or related financial crime roles.
• Strong knowledge of AML processes, controls and risk management.
• Fluency in German and English enabling effective international communication.
• Experience with performance management tools and motivation techniques.

Responsibilities

PwC Poland's Financial Crime Unit (FCU) team is composed of 1300 specialists who provide consulting services and operational support to global financial institutions in the area of Anti-Money Laundering, Risk, Regulatory, ESG, and other financial services. We are PwC's multi-competency center, bringing together top experts in Anti-Money Laundering (AML) - an area of financial services that focuses on preventing the introduction of illegal funds into a legitimate financial system. Institutions operating within the modern financial system face many challenges, such as money laundering attempts, the spread of organized crime, and the fight against terrorist financing. These are the institutions that seek assistance from us - PwC Financial Crime Unit.

We are looking for: Experienced Team Leader with German

Your future role:

• Leading a team of 10 - 15 AML Analysts - monitoring and managing the workload and daily operations within the team, acting as Operations Manager's deputy,
• Monitoring targets achievement and acting on potential breaches, escalating operational issues affecting the supervised team. Ensuring all policies, procedures and guidelines are followed by team members,
• Taking active role in development, recruitment and retention of people - coaching and motivating - both Analysts and Team Leads,
• Sharing knowledge and best practice with other Team Leaders,
• Monitoring performance, seeking and rewarding high performers,
• Fostering high performing culture and values of Financial Crime Unit Team, taking active role in implementing key projects in Operations Stream.

Apply if you:

• Have more than four years of experience managing a team,
• Have at least 3 years of operational experience,
• Fluent in German and English, enabling effective communication in international environments,
• You have knowledge and experience using performance management tools and motivation techniques,
• Have excellent communication skills, including client communication,
• Have strong planning, time management and organizational skills.
