Job summary

ThoughtLabs Belgium seeks an experienced MS SQL Database Administrator to manage and monitor SQL-based services in a distributed environment in Warsaw. You will deploy databases, extract/load data, and plan capacity while tuning performance and ensuring high availability.

Strong scripting, BI knowledge, and on-premises expertise are essential; EU security clearance at Confidential level or higher is desirable.

Qualifications

• Experience administering MS SQL in distributed environments.
• Strong capacity planning and performance tuning skills.
• Scripting for MS SQL databases, ETL and data transformations.
• Experience with Microsoft BI on-premises tools and Fabric.
• Hands-on monitoring of database systems.
• Experience administering virtual infrastructure and related MS systems.

Responsibilities

• Administer and monitor MS SQL based database services.
• Provide 2nd line support for database management.
• Update technical documentation and operating procedures.
• Deploy databases and manage ETL processes.
• Extract, transform and load data efficiently.
• Plan capacity and ensure high availability; tune databases.
• Implement changes per ICT change management procedures.
• Monitor and tune database performance.
• Prepare activity reports for supervision.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
