Vonage is seeking an Engineering Manager in Wroclaw to lead a high-performance team building a scalable SMS platform on Kubernetes and AWS. You’ll guide architecture, delivery, and quality, collaborating with product managers and customers to ensure real-time, reliable messaging.

We are looking for an Engineering Manager to help evolve and scale our best-in-class SMS messaging platform. As we continue to introduce industry-leading features, our engineers work across an exciting mix of greenfield initiatives and enhancements to existing systems

Your key responsibilities:

• Build systems to add features across our messaging platform, which runs on Kubernetes and Nomad in AWS.
• Provide direction to a team of software engineers, creating scalable microservices that will help support our impressive growth.
• Work with product managers and customers to understand use cases and business requirements.
• Lead team members in the planning and delivery of product / solution releases.
• Assign, manage and perform project work, including scope, schedule, resource allocation and cost estimation.
• Ensure delivery of secure, high quality, well-tested and scalable software to meet customer and business requirements.
• Assist with maintenance and prioritization of the product development backlog.
• Ensure team activities align with and support broader organizational goals and objectives.
• Treats AI assisted engineering as a core part of modern software practice, leveraging AI tools to enhance design, coding, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation, while guiding the team in adopting effective patterns and evolving best practices for AI enabled ways of working
