We’re excited to share an opportunity to join our Engineering team in Poland, and we’re currently looking for an Engineering Manager to be based in our Krakow office, working on a hybrid basis.

As an Engineering Manager at VGW, you'll lead a team developing and maintaining a high-performance, distributed platform designed to handle large-scale traffic. This role offers the chance to solve complex challenges and make a significant impact in a dynamic environment.

Tech stack

In terms of our tech stack, we host our docker containerized apps on AWS, sometimes in ECS but moving to EKS Kubernetes. In the containers, we run Kotlin on the JVM. TypeScript runs our client side where it’s mostly React. Our databases are PostgreSQL and DynamoDB with Snowflake as our Data warehouse.

What you will bring to the role

• Extensive experience in engineering, including leadership roles such as Engineering Manager;
• A proven ability to build and lead high-performing teams;
• Deep technical knowledge and experience in designing and implementing robust application architectures and scalable system designs;
• Experience in cloud-based computing (we’re hosted on AWS), and bonus points for familiarity with Kubernetes and Terraform;
• Empathy and a commitment to mentoring, guiding, and supporting your team’s growth and career development;
• A product-focused mindset paired with excellent stakeholder management skills.
