Hitachi Energy Poland SP. Z O.O. is seeking an Engineering Design Sustainability Lead to embed sustainability into global engineering decisions across the transformer business.

You will shape design-led outcomes, driving product-level carbon reduction, material optimization, and environmental performance from the outset. You will collaborate with engineering, R&D, supply chain, digital and operations teams worldwide to translate sustainability ambitions into measurable, auditable product

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering or a closely related sustainability discipline.
• 10+ years of engineering experience, including 5+ years in sustainability-focused roles.
• Proven success delivering design-led sustainability or product carbon reduction initiatives.
• Strong knowledge of lifecycle assessment, sustainable materials, and carbon accounting.
• Experience leading global, cross-functional initiatives and influencing senior stakeholders.
• Strong analytical mindset with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
