Job summary

Amazon's Ring team in Gdansk seeks an Embedded Software Engineer passionate about IoT and customer-focused product development. You will build and deliver features, lead technical discussions, and thrive in a collaborative environment that values initiative and innovation.

You will work on Ring Doorbell technologies, implement robust embedded software, and contribute to firmware for battery-powered devices while collaborating across disciplines to meet customer needs.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Extensive experience in embedded development with C/C++ and ARM CPUs.
• Experience writing low-level drivers and debugging with hardware.
• Knowledge of embedded wireless systems is a plus.

With Ring growing rapidly in Poland, we are looking for skilled individuals with a strong sense of independence to join our team in Gdansk. Our team will develop current projects as well as build and deliver new features. As an Software Development Engineer, you will be a core member of the development team. The ideal candidate is passionate about building IoT products. You must be responsive, flexible, and able to succeed within an open and collaborative peer environment.

Basic Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Extensive experience in computer architecture and embedded wireless systems
• Extensive embedded development experience in C or C++
• Familiarity and experience with ARM CPUs
• Extensive experience with writing low-level drivers, interrupt service routines and general troubleshooting/debugging with hardware

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field
• Experience with one of more commercial wireless protocols like BLE or WiFi
• Experience in firmware development and testing of battery powered products
• Experience with development tools like IAR/Keil and Git version control system
• Experience with common bus protocols such as SPI, I2C, and UART
• Experience with software testing (unit, regression and system testing)
• Knowledge of embedded Linux and FreeRTOS
• Comfortable in some scripting language such as Python
• Experience in building GenAI applications
• Experience with AWS

The minimum gross base salary for this position is listed below. The base salary listed corresponds to working on a full-time basis. For part-time hours, the salary will be pro-rated.

Amazon reserves the right to offer a higher base salary, depending on the candidate's skills, competencies, and experience. Amazon's package may include a sign on payment. In addition, the candidate may be eligible to participate in a restricted stock unit scheme operated independently by Amazon.com Inc. in USA.
