Job summary

Nord Gas Solutions is seeking an Electrical Engineer to participate in international gas plant projects for LNG/LPG carriers, onshore and offshore. You will develop system designs and create comprehensive engineering documentation, specifying equipment, evaluating bids, and coordinating with vendors.

You will prepare electrical diagrams and instrument lists, ensure cross-disciplinary information flow, and support commissioning and FATs with customers, suppliers, and yards.

Qualifications

• BSc/MSc in electrical engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in maritime, Oil & Gas and/or process industry engineering.
• Knowledge of electrical motors, VFD, MCC, electrical cabinets, instruments, fire and gas systems.
• Familiarity with marine classification rules (DNV, BV, LRS, ABS).
• Willingness to travel occasionally for assignments.
• Ability to work in a multinational team.
• Experience using AutoCAD Electrical.
• Fluent in English (spoken and written).
• Minimum 3 years of professional relevant experience.

• Ensure technical information flows to other engineering disciplines.
• Prepare electrical documentation (wiring diagrams, instrument lists, cable lists).
• Provide technical clarifications with customer, supplier, and third parties (Class Society) and yard.
• Support commissioning and start-up activities, participate in FATs at supplier facilities.

Our requirements

• BSc/MSc in electrical engineering or equivalent
• Experience from maritime, Oil & Gas and/or process industry engineering
• Technical knowledge of electrical motors, VFD, MCC, el. Cabinets, pressure /temperature /flow /level instruments, fire and gas detection systems etc.
• Familiarity with applicable Classification Societies rules for marine industry (DNV, BV, LRS, ABS etc.)
• Willingness to travel if needed, occasional business trips
• Ability to work in a multinational team
• Experience in use of AutoCad Electrical
• Fluent English language, both verbally and in writing
• Minimum 3 years of professional relevant experience
