Are you passionate about designing and providing technical documentation according to project requirements? Do you thrive in following the MacGregor project execution model, overseeing project progress and developing our product portfolio? MacGregor is looking to hire a proactive and results-oriented Electrical Designer to join our team.

The purpose of this role is to design, modify, and optimize equipment from the existing product portfolio while developing efficient and sustainable solutions. The Electrical Designer will be responsible for collaborating with other project stakeholders to delivering designs on time, within budget, and to quality standards.

Your daily responsibilities will include performing electrical calculations, analyze systems, and propose corrective actions.

This role is part of our Equipment and Solutions Division, business line Offshore Solutions. Reporting directly to the Team Lead E&I and Hydraulic. This position is based in Gdansk, Poland.

More Tasks And Responsibilities
  • Assist in the tender phase: review customer specifications, highlight deviations, and produce documentation
  • Configure and test drive applications, troubleshooting issues during commissioning
  • Stay updated on engineering standards, regulations, and technologies
  • Manage technical documentation
  • Provide technical support, demonstrate a work ethic, and perform additional duties, including travel when required
What You’ll Need To Succeed

Knowledge and understanding of inter discipline and design impact to other disciplines are essential in this position. We are looking for a person who is proficient in system tools and who has analytical skills. As a person, you are self-driven, flexible, open minded, and strive to create and build trust with colleagues and clients.

  • University degree (M.Sc. / B.Sc.) in Electrical Engineering
  • Demonstrated experience within a global organization is required; experience in the maritime industry is an advantage.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and E3 software
  • Problem-solving, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and in teams with attention to detail and safety
